Take an existing product with unsuccessful packaging and repackage it. The end goal is to create something attractive, user-friendly, and environmentally mindful. 

 

 

I chose to repackage compact fluorescent light bulbs. Originally, the product came in plastic clamshell packaging that was wasteful and hard to open. Repackaging light bulbs was an additional challenge because the new packaging had to be protective.

I decided to use a cardboard tube which successfully met all of my goals for the project. The cardboard is economical and 100% recyclable. I also developed the name Home & Hardware for a company that would specialize in high end home goods.
