National Geographic wanted to create a global rallying cry around ocean health issues. Looking to distill the issue and make it relevant to people around the world, we focused on a simple yet powerful insight: ocean health is human health. The fact that 50% of the air we breathe each day comes from the ocean led us to a simple, universal creative concept: I am the Ocean.
