"Hinterland" - that's how the rural regions in the periphery of Germany are called. These areas are my second home during my work on photographic projects. Unexpected motifs pop up along the track while travelling through the countryside. The mixture between cultivated land and some remains of wilderness like old trees always fascinates me. Non fairytale man-made landscapes with a very own charm.
