Within my typography course, we were asked to explore type by utilizing the world around us. By using found materials, we created scans and then final vectors of the letterforms that could be translated into a typeface.
Below are the experimentations from that project.
Once we had explored over 100 different letterforms and materials, we were to chose four of the forms and convert them into scans and vectors. Above are those favorites. Once we had done that, we picked one of the letterforms and turned it into a full word / typeface.
This typeface is named Slag Sans.
