Project 02: Being Direct

We make our products by hand, in our community. This decision equates to higher costs across the board. With that, we migrated our business from wholesale and direct to direct-to-consumer only. It was a risk, but it was the right risk for us. A key benefit is that we own how we tell our story instead of entrusting it to someone else with different values and who sees our product as just another SKU, rather than something that we’ve designed, made, and feel invested in. We also get direct feedback on what our customers love and don’t love so much — feedback we use to make our work better.
