Older version is coded in basic html and css with a jquery slideshow. I would convert the site over to Jquery using css for animating the content for an easy to access and read User Interface. Only time a vistor would leave the front page is for external links and footer links. That way you dont have to click many links to get to another page. The top menu will expand the info under neath the tabs using toggles. This format could easily be transformed into a mobile web by downsizing the content and making the elements float underneath each other. This would help save content management time and makes the site more user friendly over many devices.
