Sainsbury's #BadJokeMonday

Sainsbury's #BadJokeMonday

THE BRIEF
#BadJokeMonday is all I have to say. In 2014, Sainsbury's were looking to engage their audiences on social media through a bit o' good, clean quality fun. Thus the hashtag #BadJokeMonday was born, featuring an array of puns such as "What’s left after an explosion at the cheese factory? — De-brie." and "What do you call a peanut in space? —An astro-nut."

THE SOLUTION
This was a fantastic opportunity to employ my illustration skills to bring the cheesy jokes to life on Sainsbury's Twitter page. Working in my favourite purposefully naïve yet playful style, I created accompanying illustrations for each week's cracker. The result is an ever-growing series of charming vignettes as well as increased social media engagement throughout the duration of the campaign.
