This is a hypothetical Blu-Ray release from Heliotrope Films, a fictional Criterion-esque company of my own creation.
I treated the release as it if were real: the chapters, stills, studio logos, etc. The cover photo of the wrecked car was taken at U-Pull-It in Davie, FL. I also wrote out my own list of special features since the DVD is bare-bones and there's a good chance the Criterion laserdisc commentary wouldn't be available for license.
The inside cover features a message from author J.G. Ballard: "I don’t endorse everything that happens in either the novel or the film of Crash, but both are cautionary tales…"
The disc artwork features the original theatrical key art with Deborah Kara Unger and a strategically-placed sign.
The liner notes feature schematics of one of the cars driven in the film.
