I worked along side with the team at Whitespace to design a set of forty unique icons in the lead up to the unveiling of the Transport for Edinburgh re-brand.
Transport for Edinburgh is a new company set up with a vision of providing seamless and high quality transport for residents and vistots to the city. I was approched by Whitespace to compile a unqiue set of icons that would be used throughout the brand. Edinburgh has a high level of tourism attracting many from all over the globe, this was a key consideration during the devlopment of the icons as it was crucial the imagery was not specific to the english language and could commincate globally.
Establishing a flexible framework for the icon set was one of the first steps in the project.
This framework helped keep the proportion and scale of each icon consistent.

These icons were applied onto both Trams and buses in Edinburgh,
along with the various depots and stops located in the city and also
featured on there website: transportforedinburgh.com
