The Saluki ( سلوقی) is one of the oldest known breeds of domesticated dog. The Saluki is a sighthound and historically traveled throughout the Middle East and Silk road with caravans and nomadic tribes over an area stretching from the Sahara to the Caspian Sea and China.
This is a silhouette of a Saluki, which has been cutout of Bass wood, using a laser cutter and then
hand painted black.
The image is mounted away from the coloured background in a deep box frame to give the figure depth. Recommend displaying the picture with a focused Spot light on the frame as it gives the saluki a beautiful shadow.
