Composition No. 9: Cardboard Box (2015)

Motion can be described through visual languages that may not necessarily involve time in a direct manner. This project is an exploration on how the motion and sequence of a cardboard box which is dropped from a distance off the ground can be explained in a static 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional form. The final product is again re-imagined and appropriated as a sort of a musical composition.

In this project, sound and motion are combined within a sculptural representation. The final product becomes a three-dimensional musical score which describes the details in the sound and the motion.
The resulting sound wave of the motion
