Public Typography: Food Trucks
Selected as a Blurb Staff Pick.
Used by Blurb for various marketing and promotional materials.
Each day we unconsciously interact with countless applications of typography in public arenas. This rich typographic environment can be both formal and informal via signs, graffiti, flyers, or other forms of lettering. For this project, each student authored his or her own photo essay book. We would each be responsible for the photographic materials, written content, and the overall design. Each student selected a discrete space, thoroughly documented the area, and composed a narrative that would drive the exploration and analysis of the typographic elements.

I examined the public typography of two food trucks serving the Kansas City area.
The photo on the right facing page was taken by Tina Magee-Jenks of The Employee Lounge.
