Rice Colander
A healthy, natural nutrition obliges the increase of vegetables and cereals, ingredients that demand a long cooking process, previous washing and a certain amount of time in water. Dahl is a very simple and useful kitchen utensil for their preparation: It has two functions: facilitating washing (perforated side) and containing the ingredient during the period of soaking water (the other side).
The name Dahl is an homage to the great spirituality of Indian culture and to its gastronomy, inexhaustible source of inspiration for a healthy cooking.
The project has been selected in the design contest Design è Competition promoted by Regione Lombardia in collaboration with Expo 2015, ADI and FederLegno. The prototipe was made by Maspi and the tutor of the project was Gianni Arduini.
