ASCENDED SAGA
In college I met a student who had been working on a tabletop role-playing game since the 8th grade. We became good friends and I offered my services as a design student to help with the graphics his game would need to eventually try and reach a market.

In 2014, I was contacted by my friend (who had moved out of state) and asked if I could get some pieces ready for them to launch a Kickstarter campaign. There were some time constraints as they wanted to launch the Kickstarter at the same time that they were hosting a launch event at a local game store.

Within a span of 48 hours, I finished a logo, character sheets for tracking progress in the game, character drawings, a 92-page beginner's guide and some promotional materials for them to hand out at the local event. Not long after that, I completed a Kickstarter trailer for the game.
The Logo
I designed a logo around an inked circle with nine notches, each representing one of the nine deities within the game's lore. The hand-inked feel is utilized throughout the game's graphic elements, complimenting the artwork.
The Beginner's Guide
The instruction manual for the game. 92 pages of charts, diagrams, descriptions, lore and illustrations. I contributed drawings of races and classes in the game and utilized the monster artwork created by fantasy artist Krystal Harper for the game.
Beginner's Guide Spreads
A few sample spreads showcasing some of the character drawings and graphics that I contributed.
Character Sheet
The four page character sheet for players to keep track of their created character. For those unfamiliar with tabletop role-playing games, a character sheet is used to keep track of points, equipment and items for each players' created character throughout the game.
Kickstarter Video Introduction
I threw everything I had into creating a two minute video for the Kickstarter campaign. I created the graphics, utilized some of Krystal's fantastic artwork, created a voiceover to introduce viewers to the game's lore, compiled everything in After Effects and even wrote a piece of music for the game that both "ascended" and utilized nine notes within its melody.

While the Kickstarter was not a success, the game continues to grow to this day.
