The Apollo is an experiment backpack inspired by NASA's lunar lander. The mid section is composed of gold mylar, the shiny substance used on the lunar lander to insulate it. The top and bottom of the backpack is composed of tyvek, a paper-like, plastic fabric that is durable and mimics the dark material of the lander. I also used trapunto to create a geometric structure on the bag as well as quilting for comfort on the back and straps.
