Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has a
non-logical, break-the-rules storyline. In
order to translate that notion, the book
cover uses an old-inspired typeface being
distorted to evoke a sense of ambiguousity,
an unusual dream. The distortion effect
is not achieved with the aid of computer
programs, in fact the layout with normal
typeface was first printed out, then it
was being experimented with the scanner
and other hand-involving methods (like
tearing, soaking, layering...).
