In early 2015 the American based gymnasium, “The Gym” approached me to design a logo. Initially their favour was to have something in the style of the builder illustration done some months back. After some discussion it was decided that for the necessary flexibility in the print and merchandise fields, it would be better in vector.
The resulting image was the combination of elements that the client required, as well as the necessary research that took place in the design stage. Although rendered in a more traditional full colour way, it was still important that the logo had some hold in the monotone values, and so two versions were designed.
