Over the last couple years I have been asked to create an assortment of personal shirts for different individuals. Requests for these shirts have been made for family gatherings, festivals, and personal enjoyment
Road Trips in Festival Season
This shirt was made to fullfil a very spacific request. The client asked that I illustrate a white rabbit going down a road (as opposed to a rabbit hole) and gazing at the sun and moon meeting over the horizon. He also wanted the words to swirl around the image in a 70's typeface. The shirt was then printed on a black and white raglan baseball tee.
A Family's Holiday Tradition
Every year during Thanksgiving, for the last 11 years, the Carlos Family has hosted a family softball game. For this design I created a single color print with a custom, handmake script and elements of the occasion and season. These shirts were printed on blue and white raglan baseball tees.
Same Bill Murray, Different Ethnicity
I was requested to create a single color print of Bill Murray dipicted as a Mexican. The sombrero design was inspired by a sombrero owned by the client's father.
The Happiest Place Under Earth
The above two shirts were made for trips to Disneyland as a parody of Disney’s two most popular characters. The characters are depicted in a hellish environment, maintaining their happiness while melting and laughing hysterically.
Horror, Apes, & Festival Love
Inspired by the shining, a tribute to my love for apes, and made for festival season, this shirt was created for my own personal use. Occasionally I will create a unique shirt for myself and in this instance the subject matter was nearly appropriate. The snowflake in the background is a created solely of Visum pyramid logos. The ape is depicted as Jack Nicolson in the famous “Here’s Johnny” scene of the movie The Shining, but in this scenario the ape is a festival goer partaking in the usual festival debauchery.
