An Institution. And after the city of Detroit emerged from bankruptcy, they needed a fresh start with the public, too. And what better campaign to do that with a couple who only lasted 11 months there: Diego Rivera & Frida Kahlo. Their time here was tumultuous, not unlike Detroit’s past. And as we rekindled the love of these troublemakers, we rekindled a love for the DIA with over 150,000 patrons.
