South of Mt. McKinley (20,321 ft.) and Mt. Foraker (17,400 Ft.)
This is from about 75 miles away and they are still towering in the horizon.
"McKinley Hiding"
Northeastern face from Park Rd.
As far we could drive in during the offseason.

A zoomed in view from our position on Park Rd.
Pausing during our sledding to admire a far off view of McKinley.
A shot of more or less the eastern face as we drove south
to catch our air taxi for a closer look at the mountain.
Gaining altitude as we approached from the south.
I let my wife sit shotgun for the ride in...
that should tell you how much I love her. I still had
to take at least one from the cockpit.
Banking for our approach to the Ruth Glacier,
which lies south of Mt. McKinley.
The south face from about 12,000 ft above sea level.
A beautiful view of Mt. McKinley (right) and Mt. Foraker (left),
again from about 12,000 ft. This is one of my favorites.
The south face as we were leaving.
It was a clear day but Mr. McKinley still wanted some clouds.
