I guess my first real rock photography gig was to cover Alice Cooper in Peterborough Ontario in the early eighties. Of course I was there as an ENG Cameraman for the local television station but the access allowed me to get a few stills and once in the darkroom I knew I was on to something. Meeting Alice was also really amazing and seeing him with his wife and kids made me realize he was a real person, separate from legendary the Alice character I had witnessed on stage. To this day I am always amazed at his shows and feel really cool when he gives me a nod of recognition. Since then I have been lucky enough to photograph many of my favourite bands and have many happy memories of doing so.
