I was quite distraught when I heard of Leonard Nimoy’s passing that during my next lunch break I created a few color sketches and then decided on this image which I finished on my next lunch break. I used a speed painting technique using only two brushes and after those two sessions I then left it alone and somehow I decided that is was perfect. Very rare for me to feel that way and I think perhaps I didn't want to disrupt any of the emotion that put into the work I referenced some old 70's images of Leonard and like them because it reminded me of when I first became enthralled by the Star Trek watching the original series as a kid.
