"From Desert Rise" is the name of a new series inspired by my resent photo-trip to U.A.E-Dubai and Abu Dhabi.I also feel homoured and lucky to attend John`s kosmopoulos Fine Art Cityscape Workshop .

Burj Al Arab is one of the few 7star hotel in the world.
I took this shot from the private marina of Jumeirah Beach hotel in the mainland across.
Luckily the whole week that i stay in Dubai found some
wonderful clouds in the sky!! the shot was a LE with total time of 241 seconds.
Once again,the exceptional firecrest filter do its magic and gave my a perfect neutral shot.
Image dedicated to my Friend and colleague Maria Karra who arrange the access to the area..

Human power and will managed to rise some architecture marvels in a place that was a desert some years ago..
During the trip i have the opportunity to attend john Kosmopoulos Workshop in Dubai.We have a great time,John taught us his techniques about “Eclectic Aesthetic Fine Art”. I also met some wonderful photographers too,like UEA Landscapers and other..you know who you are guys.. ;)
My first image “twins I" taken in Dubai marina.A LE shot of 210 sec,i was lucky enough with the clouds cause usually the sky is quite clean there.

Image processed in #Photoshop CC2014,#Lr5.7,# SEP2 and other Nik plug-ins.
I combine various techniques to achieve that result.The good thing is that already develop my OWN techniques like sLM and srSGM .

The third image from my Dubai series “from desert rise".This is my first image that i took after a 2day sandstorm and the 1st one taken during John`s Workshop.We arrived at the business bay area at about 16:00 and we start shooting.
Ο-14 is a true state-of-the-art building,with it`s brilliant exoskeleton structure has more open space interior for offices.As the official site says:
"The concrete shell of O-14 provides an efficient structural exoskeleton that frees the core from the burden of lateral forces and creates highly efficient, column-free open spaces in the building’s interior. The exoskeleton of O-14 becomes the primary vertical and lateral structure for the building, allowing the column-free office slabs to span between it and the minimal core…”
Back to my image,the shot was a LE with exposure time of 25sec.This time i use “only” 10 stop ( B+W ND3.0),because the few clouds disappeared with my firecrest.
Workflow/Techniques: #Lightroom5 > #SharpenerPro3 >#PhotoshopCC2014 > #SilverEfexPro2 > (roundtrip) to Lightroom > export. I try to experiment with various techniques and of course i use mine sLM as well.

I don`t frequently do Panoramas but this time i give it a try,you don`t see everyday the whole Dubai Marina in front of you.
I went to Palm Jumeirah with one goal;to make not just a pano but a LE one!
I set my tripod and i use my #firecrestND4.8 filter,i manage to take three images with 265 “ exposure each.You can see the LE results in cloud movements and in water`s silky surface.
Workflow: RAW files opened in #Lr5 > stitched in #PsCC2014 (roundtrip).I make “only” one hard selection of the sky, [i think i finally mastered the Pen tool as long as my patience too!! overall time from the selection was about 10 hours..]
After that, image processed in #SilverEfexPro2 , #Dfine2 and#SharpenerPro3

From Desert Rise V | Colored Metropolis
One of the rare times ( actually the 2nd) that i publish an architecture image in Color.
I took this photo last February outside JLT* metro station 2.
You can see the sand in the ledge of sidewalks because of the 2day sandstorm.
I composed the image around marina`s skyscrapers and Al Sarayat str.
The shot is a LE one.I set up my tripod and use my FormattHitech firecrest filter
to reduce the exposure time,capture the cloud movement and vanish the cars from street.
