This is an old-fashioned wood, glass, steel and brass Yahoo Widget designed to appeal to the steampunk mind, I suggest it might be a useful addition to your desktop. This slightly wierd clock will keep good time using a human-friendly steampunk interface. The Weird Steampunk Clock is a Yahoo widget that runs on your desktop behind all your applications so it does not interfere with your day to day computer functionality. I hope you think it is fun as well as being very useful. This widget was created using the combined graphical and coding skills of myself and the deep coding advice of Harry Whitfield. I do the graphics and the code, Harry just makes me do it better the second time round.
These widgets work with Windows XP SP3, Vista Home, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Mac OS/X, Windows 8 and 10 and it should work on all these with no problems whatsoever.  You will of course need to download and install either the Yahoo widget first - which you can get here:

Yahoo widget engine (WIN) here: http://desktopwidgets.zenfs.com/4.5.2x10a50/ywidgets_sdk_setup.exe
Yahoo widget engine (MAC) http://desktopwidgets.zenfs.com/4.5.2x10a50/yahoo_widgets_4.5.2.dmg

(I am converting my widgets so they run on all platforms. The decision as to which engine to run is down to you. The Xwidget engine is modern and will continue to be supported in the future, the old YWE! engine is elegant and functional and continues to run on Windows and Macs, however in  the future some things may not work on newer versions of the o/s). I have not yet converted this widget to Xwidget but I will do soon.

The widget functionality is self-explanatory, tinker with it and you will soon get to grips with it, you can't do any harm. Think of it as a bit of steampunk eye-candy with a useful function.

Double-clicking on the widget will cause a personalised Windows application to fire up. The first time you run it there will be no assigned function and so it will state as such and then pop up the preferences so that you can enter the command of your choice. The widget takes command line-style commands for windows.

INSTALLATION

1. Download & Install the Yahoo Widget or Xwidget engine FIRST.
2. Download the widget
3. When downloaded it should prompt you to ask what you should do with this widget. Tell the o/s to open it with Xwidgets/Yahoo Widgets. That's it.

This widget and the others like it will spruce up your desktop and give it a bit of Victorian class. Full instructions can be found here: http://lightquick.co.uk/instructions-for-the-steampunk-clock-widget-3.html?Itemid=264

I would suggest that you read the instructions - you don't need to - but there is stuff there that could be helpful.
