'tif' was a workshop project at uni based on how the brain makes up for a missing visual information. When the dot on the letter 'i' is missing the original visual source (tif) is processed in three steps. After the source image is reflected on the retina upside down the highly sensitive layer filters the physical information into proccessable information which is transmitted to the brain via the optical nerve. The brain then compensates for the missing information based on previously stored information, and thus makes sense of the physiical reality.
