I designed or directed the design of more than a dozen new features for Keynote, the award-winning presentation software that ships with the iWork productivity suite. The iWork ‘09 release was one of Apple’s most successful iWork releases enjoying a 50% increase in licenses sold. Worked cross–functionally with product teams throughout Apple to ensure compatibility with Mac, iPhone and not–yet–released products.
One of the significantly improved features was the completely redesigned presenter display.
Based on user feedback through a number of sources, we knew that people had trouble swapping displays if the Presenter Display turned up on the projector; we introduced a small toolbar into the Presenter display that exposed that and a few other common activites at the time when they're most needed.
Finally we also included better non-modal Help so users could learn about the many other things possible at show time.
