The fortune cookie read "Old friends, old wine, and old gold are best". It was up to me to interpret that and create a painting. After some thought, I determined the meaning to be Things That Last A Lifetime. With a few sketches to ponder over, I continued the process by creating this acrylic painting. My mom's hand upon my own life was my inspiration.

 

 

Once the painting was complete, the idea was to create an editorial. I researched articles and found one to be complementery as well as inspirational. This was a good opportunity to show my text heavy layout work.
