Summer 2014 was one of the best. I was freelancing and looking for new jobs when I received a call I applied one year before, it was an offer working as guide for the Whale Shark Tour. The work by it self was exciting, plus I was equipped with a GoPro for keep a record of it.
Every year from May to August the whale shark arrives at the very limit of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, the currents from each sides meets, and make an important concentration of plankton, so this big humble animal visit us for the feast. The tour was not only an experience full of adventure, but also it was a teaching for the people about out beautiful Caribbean sea, its fauna and the importance every action we take can affect the ecosystem.
From Punta Sam, in the North of Cancun, we take a boat, cross Isla Mujeres get on the point and swim with the peaceful Whale Sharks, afterwards we go to Isla Mujeres and do some snorkeling on the reef.
