NIMBUS - SOUTHERLY BUSTER
Exhibited: Milan Salone de mobile, Ventura Lambrate 2015.
Based on the appearance of a ‘southerly buster’’ storm up the Sydney coast. Nimbus features an array of 25 individually addressable LEDs embedded into the structure. The LEDs are capable of being programmed to have interesting storm effects and coloured effects of sunrise and sunset. The designers see the Nimbus as offering an alternative to a conventional chandelier style fitting installation where a dramatic light is required with a low ceiling height.
