"Rogan art" is a form of painting done on fabrics in a village in gujarat, Nirona. Khatri familiy is the only family in this world to still do this art. The garment in this picture is around 80-90 years old. So here we have tried to style it and got a shoot done.
Each saree painting takes the family at least 6-8 months depending on the work to be done on it.
We were suppose to make products out of the samples we got from the family. So a collection of bags for working women was decided and i made the blue and red suede bag.
