This soothing spa retreat captured the award for the best designin the 2009 Casa California Showcase House in Shady Canyon, California sponsored by Philharmonic House of Design and California Homes Magazine. The dual-purpose exercise and massage room looks out into a restful Zen garden. Richly finished spaces are wrapped in a soft Venetian plaster and limestone reminiscent of white sand beaches. Luxurious finishes, custom elements and top-of-the line Balanced Body pilates equipment and a Living Earth Crafts massage table combine to make this an award-winning design.

Venetian plaster finished with Madreperlato, Italian for mother of pearl, adds luster to the ceiling. A chandelier and Venetian plaster walls in honey beige lend a Moroccan feel to the space.
