Forest for the Trees Website

Forest for the Trees Website | Spring 2013

My MFA thesis, "Forest for the Trees," was an interactive website looking at the legacy of land management and the future of forestry.  It's a project that I will probably always be re-inventing throughout my career in digital media: it began life as a black and white photo documentary for a 2007 journalism class, then became a website, and is now turning into a feature length documentary film.  The study of ecology and natural environments, and our ongoing efforts to "manage" or figure out our role in their success and survival (and, by extension, our own) is a story that I am deeply committed to exploring and sharing.
