Looking into how Rice dominates China and takes over everyday life there. It is the source of income and the source of nutrition. Therefore Rice is Life.
I filled up a vacuum plastic cast of a face with a combination of rice and glue. After a couple of weeks the exhibition was revisted and the rice had moulded and a sort of stringy textured form was leaking out of the bottom. This aided my concept, even though it was unintentional.
