Architectural proposal for Urban Slaughterhouse

Relations between social image of the building and architectural measures. Urban Slaughterhouse.
An arrangement of total 10 posters, each 100x70 cm (in total 500x140 cm).
This paper seeks relationships between the social image of the building, along with the emotions that it provokes, the symbolism which saturates it, and architectural activities in terms of form, function and its meaning. Slaughterhouse as unwanted function, pushed to the periphery or completely outside human activity and sight plays crucial role in this analysis.

A practical approach to the image of the slaughterhouse (as industrial activity) explores marketing aspects of architecture with its historical and contemporary, philosophical and anthropological relationships between humans and animals on the background. Paper poses architecture as a tool to induce thought and making changes.

A design-model of City Slaughterhouse is the conclusion of my work. Its architec- ture, in addition to the image-creational functions is committed to the mission of emphasizing even more the public, directing its attention to the contemporary ethics of food production, shaping a more humane and honest attitude to the animals - the meat we eat.
