Mareli is an artist. She always tries to be truthful and sensitive to her subject matter. She enjoys juxtaposing elements which are out of their context together; and the tension that this creates. She also loves the awkwardness that springs out of imposed relationships between different objects. We think she brings a fresh look to still life and food and gives inanimate objects a new sense of quirkiness. She is a firm believer in spontaneity and is always experimenting.
