My private project "Microcosmic heroes" is a kind of long term task. I was always a curious child, who was known for keeping  snails in a margarine box or hid a ladybirds colony in a flower pot. I often dreamed about a secret mission during which we, people suddenly might have discovered we are not the biggest and most complicated creatures living on the planet Earth. By the way... that remains me a great book I've read recently "Under the dome" by Stephen King.
I like bugs. I collect many thumbnail sketches, macro photos and then, I start to make the portraits, drawing with soft pastels, a china ink and aquarelle paints... on whatever I have on hand. For example, for soft pastels drawing, the greatest textured surface appeared to be... the back side of cereals' box (deeply gray and richly hairy). Didn't I tell you I'm a recycled art enthusiast?
I'd appreciate any comments you might have...
