Branding for DSWE 2014

This full branding exercise was done for a conference on Design for Sustainable well-being and empowerment, 2014, an Indo-Dutch conference conducted at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The branding consists of print, digital and souvenirs.

The Logo

The logo was selected earlier through a design competition by Render Sangma (Check out his work here.) and the color used in the logo was used as the main color element during the branding exercise.

After deciding on the logo, a decision was taken to keep the entire work minimalistic and variable. Thus, honey comb structure with different elements / aspects related with the conference was selected and each of the event featured a slightly different variation of the honey comb structure.

The exercise consisted of designing the promotional posters and banners, banners for different events, the stationary sets provided to the delegates, a souvenir bag, t-shirts, and the entire layout and design of the conference book.

Different sized banners and posters were made for the promotion of the event. Only the bigger banners were made out of plastic based materials.

The Website

The website and layout was outsourced to another designer for development.

Keynote and other posters

Since the theme of the conference was focused on sustainability, each of the materials used for printing was selected based on the environmental impact. The papers used were hand-made and the inks used were of least impact to the environment.
