    For the 2011 edition PICNIC created an actual city as a festival compound, located on the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam. In order to dress up the streets of this city, a Poster Project was initiated. A few leading designers and agencies were hand-picked to create a rich visual culture on the streets in the form of posters. This selected poster design is about infrastructure, as a definition of where you are: "Where am I, and where do I want to go?" Based on the covering theme ‘Urban Futures’, the design is all about creating your own environment, emotional city-mapping, claiming & enriching your surroundings and simply enjoying where you are.
