When a friend and former colleague asked me to design a simple logo for a blog he was building, of course I had to say yes. You can read about Jason Hines on his blog, Backpacking Cinephile. He's currently traveling in New Zealand and blogging about his love of film.
The final logo includes most of the graphic elements Hines originally requested. I like this one because it employs the modern style I tend to design in, but it also has elements of grunge to give that out-doorsy feeling. The distressing to graphic elements was hand-drawn using a Wacom Intuos pen tablet to match the font.
