CI and Way-finding system of Clinics in Kuwait

Wayfinding system in Clinics
I searched for a field that needs redesigning in Kuwait and thought of the Ministry of Health, I saw that their medical sector lacked design and guidance. Places such as those need the strongest design to guide the patients to where they should be. Therefore, my main focus is clinics rather than hospitals due to the fact that clinics are visited regularly whereas hospitals are visited on special occasions. The signs seem to be inefficient in applying their use. Design also affects the persons emotions as weak designs lead to low self esteem, as well as that people need to leave from the clinic with a better and more cheerful mood.
After deep research and excessive surveys I have come to a conclusion, in knowing that people around Kuwait agree that the clinics are lacking guidance and need redesigning. They can’t see any form of guidance and that makes it harder for them, especially when guardians take the children for vaccinations. They struggle in these clinics as they don’t look very friendly, which affects the patients feelings as well as that it makes them think that they are sicker than they actually are. My aim is to redesign all the clinics signage systems, design a map for each clinic and color coordinate each governorate to give it its own identity and apply the design on the identity items within the clinics, such as the corporate identity and other essential elements. There are five main governorates here in Kuwait; Hawalli, Capital, Ahmadi, Al-Jahra, Farwaniya, and Mubarak Al-Kabeer.
I chose this specific topic, as with stronger design it would help patients know where they’re going and make them feel more comfortable with visiting clinics. Furthermore, it would make everything clearer for them, especially for those who are afraid of going to the doctor.
