The Trackee Mobile App is a self-initiated project.

 

TL:DR It’s a simple app that let’s you track your pet’s pee and poop as well as when accidents happen inside the house. The app has a cute, appealing the design; but we’re still talking about a pet’s output here. So fair warning if you just came back from lunch.

 

Over the course of this past year I had the privilege to take care of a senior dog. She was a sweet-heart but a lot of effort went into her care. As any pet owner knows, a dog without a stable pee and poop schedule can be a nightmare. With this girl I never knew if she had to go at 5am or 7am. Should I expect a 3am walk? Does she need an extra walk at 4pm?

 

Her schedule was always shifting and I always thought how great it would be if there was a simple way to keep track of how often she goes so I could keep track of how her schedule is shifting. A normal calendar app would do it (as would a paper calendar), but the input is too complicated at 3am and I don’t want the dog’s pee calendar taking up space with my other calendars. Plus, I would never consistently record with a normal calendar app.

 

Trackee is a dead simple way to keep track of when my dog goes. The app could also be a useful tool in the care of infants and perhaps the elderly. But at the moment it’s designed for pet owners like myself.
