PENTAGON STUDY
In this examination, a pentagon expands out from a star, which expands out from a pentagon, and so on. My focus for this case was scale and symmetry, and how the interlocking shapes existed harmoniously.

DIAMOND STUDY
This diamond fractal is comprised solely of pinwheel-like circles, each one having been rotated 90°, relative to the layer beneath it. Here I was interested in the way in which shapes align when given a consistent rotation.

TRIANGLE STUDY
The triangle shapes in this structure grow up and out, while shrinking down and in simultaneously within each triangle. To convey the effect of texture and dimension, I converted the three hues into one with three varying shades.

HEXAGON STUDY
The hexagon case is a combination of themes from both the pentagon and diamond studies. Not only does scale play a primary role here, but rotation and rhythm are also applied throughout.
