"Vad De Plume"
Acrylic on Canvas 36" X 36"
 (Sold)

"Vad De Plume" is a concept inspired by Ashley Wood's facinating "De Plume" characters and my love for Star Wars. I wanted to capture the presence of fear, anger and hatred form the iconic character, Darth Vader with a twist of De Plume's skull-like gasmask with long hoses like tentacles. The thick impressionist brush strokes is a perfect depiction of the emotional conflict that Vader has.

"Vad De Plume" was displayed at the ESSENCE gallery exhibition, Feb 2015. Visitors were encouraged to interact with the painting and feel its textures. This is to let the audiences have a deeper appreciation towards the essence of the painting.
