The story documents the life of 80-year-old Cvije Dokić and the solitude she endured for more than 10 years in village Tobut, mountain Majevica. Due to limited economic growth and opportunity, many of the majority of Bosnia and Herzegovina’sn villages witness very limited if any economic growthare slowly disappearing. Those that do are typically located near the cities. The The last remaining residents of many these villages are often elderly and have chosen to live out their days in solitude. Once they are elderlydie, these villages will die, the and evidence of their lives of those who lived there will vanish along with what remains of these villages.
