• Event Organiser: Assistance provided in developing concept of demonstrating to participants how to take field recordings from around Edinburgh to be incorporated into Social Anthropological research and investigation, through the production of a sound map (http://www.socialsoundsproject.com/). I provided technical assistance in helping participants use portable microphone equipment and developed the surround-sound set up for project's final presentation.
• Lecture presented in "Conscious Recording Decisions", highlighting perspectives and philosophies on contemporary audio recording, and how best participants can take effective recordings on portable microphone resources in the field.
• Sound Installation Design and Construction: Building an interactive 5.1 Surround-Sound performance system to audition and generate soundscapes from the recordings taken around Edinburgh by participants of the project.
• Computer Program Design: I constructed a computer patch to allow for 5.1 surround panning playback from participants' recordings. Development of a Random Audiovisual combination system. On both years of the project I implemented music software strategies within the Max/MSP programming environment.
