‘Scandi’ Sam the Sportsman
Sam is NordicBet Xtra’s Chief Editor and is a Sports nut. He watches hundreds of hours of sport every
week and when he’s not doing that you’ll probably find him reading about it or sitting in a bar drinking a
cold beer whilst talking about it with a bunch of friends, the barman or whoever else is around.
Nelson
Nelson was a strange boy growing up. With no interest in cars, toys or video games he instead preferred
his calculator, Excel spreadsheets and often spent weekends doing the extra maths homework he
requested from his teacher.
He studied Maths and Statistics at Oxford University where a lecturer described him as ‘an odd, unusual,
withdrawn boy with a rare talent for interpreting statistics’. He came top of his class.
But here’s the thing. Nelson adores football, spending most of his time away from his job as a highly
paid data analyst for the Swedish government watching football and trawling through data to try to
predict what’s going to happen next. He’s a man worth listening to.
