Drop Caps in a Vernacular Language

I created 8 Drop Caps in a vernacular language. They each have a character of their own but put together they are designed to look like a set.

I chose the Tibetan script because of its unique and bold form. Tibetans very strongly believe in astrology. I decided to look at their 'Lunisolar calandar' which consists of 12 to 13 lunar months.

Each year is associated with an animal. I chose 8 animals. The letter that I chose is the first letter of the animal in Tibetan.

All the Drop Caps are done by hand with acrylic paints.
