Albourne Construction is a company building quality homes, with a team passionate about their craft and have fun in the process. The brief was to create a brand identity that represented the company and reflected the personalities of the people who work there — young, innovative and committed to producing
quality workmanship.

Audience
The audience for this brand identity is predominately the building trade, so that everyone would be easily identifiable out on site,
and also existing and potential clients.

Response
We looked at the different phases of construction, from timber framing through to final build, creating three distinct monograms of the letter ‘A’. Which produced a unique visual language, which is not typically seen within the building sector.
This gave a flexible brand identity system which could be applied across different media in various ways. From print collateral to the work wear.
As all employees needed to be easily identifiable as Albourne staff when out on the work site and feel comfortable in the work wear. The decision was made to look at the layering of each item. The first ‘A-frame’ design was placed on the singlets, a mix of the first and second designs was used on the T-shirts, and the ‘final build’ design was used on the hooded and crew neck sweaters. Creating a brand identity that reflected the business visually and in an abstract manner in regards to the building or layering of the garments on each employee.

Result
The unique brand identity has given the business a large amount of press which has driven an increase in future projects. 
Further publicity has been generated within the design industry with the brand identity becoming a finalist in the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) Awards and nominated for a Premiers Design Award.
