Hotel Chelsea
: short stay short tribute :
There are things that we think are persistent, as natural evolving at a geological scale. Now we are beyond our own rules, and we see from under our eyes, places we are intimately, culturally. Speed, an index of modernity, now we erase.
The Chelsea Hotel is one of those things. Just stayed only 7 days, quickly, and i thought i could come back. So a bit distracted, i walked through the corridors. Sitting in his chair, i watched from the corner of the eye.
Yet, many times, the breath of this place, left me in a state of almost meditation. Confronting History and stories of that place to the space around me, i looked the echo of a voice, cries or a melody.
Are collected here almost all the shots brought back. An entire incomplete in some way. Printed in a "pocket format", paper matte finish allows you to annotate your thoughts, to compare my instant to yours and to keep track.
