Election! Britain Votes for The People's History Museum

A commission for The People's History Museum, Manchester UK for an exhibition on General Elections. The exhibition is split into 3 parts: a history of general elections in the 20th/21st centuries; an evolving 'current' section charting the run up to/aftermath of the 2015 UK General Election; and my section, a large-scale infographic on the political system and electoral process of the UK.

The exhibition is pro-voting, and aims to engage visitors in debate about why it's important to cast a ballot on election day. We included a number of interactive displays and are running an in-house 'referendum' to engage visitors in thinking about important elements related to our system of elections, for instance, should prisoners be allowed to vote.

The exhibition runs now until June 28th 2015. My involvement in this project was funded by Grants for the Arts from The Arts Council.
After installation. All individual panels are printed on 5mm or 2mm foamex and mounted on the walls at different depths. All dashed lines are hand stencilled.

2D design elevation explaining the UK system of government. Whilst the focus of the exhibition is elections, we felt it was important to take a little time to explain our system of government for those who were unsure of how thing operate in the UK.
3D mockup explaining who can stand as an MP, how to stand, and the demographics of our current parliament.
3D mockup of wall explaining who can vote (an interactive display) and how to vote. We also include an ipad where visitors can register to vote.
3D mockup of wall explaining what happens at the count of votes.
